3D genomics across the tree of life reveals condensin II as a determinant of architecture type
View ORCID ProfileClaire Hoencam Science 2012
NCBI Summary: This gene encodes a subunit of the condensin complex, which is responsible for the condensation and stabilization of chromosomes during mitosis and meiosis. Phosphorylation of the encoded protein activates the condensin complex. There are pseudogenes for this gene on chromosomes 8 and 15. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Comment | The human cumulus-oocyte complex gene-expression profile. Assou S et al. BACKGROUND: The understanding of the mechanisms regulating human oocyte maturation is still rudimentary. We have identified transcripts differentially expressed between immature and mature oocytes and cumulus cells. | ||||
